Executive Director 
Mike Firmin has been the Executive Director of Golden Harvest Food Bank since its founding in 1982. The Food Bank has grown over the years into a charitable organization with a yearly distribution of 10 million pounds of grocery products to more than 500 non-profit agencies, programs and churches.
Operating from three warehouses in Augusta, Georgia and Aiken, South Carolina, its service deliver area comprises 30 counties in eastern Georgia and western South Carolina. Besides the ever-growing core activity of warehousing & distribution of grocery products, Mike has overseen the development of several direct-service programs including The Master's Table central soup kitchen in downtown Augusta, the Brown Bag Programs for the most need elderly, Manna Truck mobile pantries, the Kids Cafe after-school children's program and the Backpack Program, which gives a supply of easy-open foods to at-risk children before they leave school on Fridays.
Originally from Louisiana, Mike was educated in philosophy and theology as a seminary student, then worked in church-related ministry with the poor before moving to Augusta in 1981. Mike is married to Beverly, who is a licensed clinical social worker with the Medical College of Georgia. They have nine children and four grandchildren.

Associate Director
Barry J. Forde, Associate Director is originally from New York and was educated at New York University. Barry joined the Food Bank in 1984 and is the team member with the second longest continuous service for Golden Harvest Food Bank, after Executive Director Mike Firmin. Barry and his wife Diane reside in Augusta and have one son and one grandson.
