Manna Truck

The Manna Truck Program is Golden Harvest’s mobile food pantry program.  A Manna Truck distributes 5,000 to 10,000 pounds of fresh produce in one visit to areas identified as being in need of food.  Manna Distributions are an effective way to expand service to targeted areas - often rural communities - that have little or no access to a local food pantry.  This program also helps the Food Bank to make quick turnarounds of donated produce which would normally be turned away due to space limitations.

Sponsoring a Manna Truck Distribution is a great way to help relieve hunger, especially in our underserved, rural communities.  While you or your organization may not be able to run a full-time pantry or soup kitchen due to time or cost, almost any business or service group can coordinate a Manna Distribution.  For little cost and only 4-5 hours of time on the day of the event, you can make a difference to so many in need.

If your business, civic organization or church group is interested in sponsoring a Manna Truck contact our Manna/Transportation Coordinator.

Thanks to a generous volunteer, Matt Scott, we can show you what a Manna Truck Distribution entails:
